ChildFund India has identified a project with a goal to improve the quality of life of children in danger of human trafficking by protecting children´s rights and preventing child trafficking in Udaipur district, Rajasthan, India.
The project has three (3) distinctive identified objectives:
• To reduce the vulnerability of local communities in Udaipur district by deepening key community stakeholder knowledge of the pitfalls of trafficking by 2014.
• To capacitate, sensitise and institutionalise stakeholders dealing with prevention of trafficking – Police Lawyers, NGOs, government and Administration by 2014.
• To provide alternate livelihood source/income generation options for vulnerable families by 2014.

JOB DESCRIPTION – BMZ Project

Title: Program Coordinator 

Div/Dept.: Program 

Location: Gogunda, Udaipur 

Reporting Relationship: Project Manager 

SUMMARY

Position for Program Coordinator will be available at the Lead NGO level and she/he will be responsible for steering the state/ regional level activities in coordination with the Project Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work in coordination with the Project Manager to ensure effective implementation of the project as per the approval project plan. 
• Work in coordination with the Project Manager in ensuring project activities are carried out in line with the approved project plan and budget, both at the source and destination district, as defined in the project proposal. 
• To ensure micro-level project planning are rolled out and implemented 
• To have regular interaction with all the project stakeholders.
• Overall responsible for daily and regular monitoring and implementation of project activities. 
• Coordinate with various district/state level government officials as required for the project. 
• Work in coordination with the Project Manager in ensuring the overall process of project documentation, like best practices and project learning. 
• Report on project objectives and activities & budget as per the prescribed format
• Provide support in carrying out any other work as assigned for the project. 
• Will be required to travel to Gujarat and spend about 4-5/month

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
• Should possess a Master’s degree in any discipline (preferably in Social Sciences) from a recognized university
• Should have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience of development work, preferably in program management.
• Experience in managing and implementing child trafficking project will be an added advantage.
