Project Manager 
SHARE India, a not for profit society has been registered under the AP Public Societies Registration act in 1986. SHARE-India Public Health Management Institute (SHARE-India) with support of FHI 360, implements a Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded project called SNEH (Strengthening Nursing Expertise in HIV/AIDS). The goal of this project is to increase nursing capabilities in providing HIV clinical care services in India as part of sector-wide efforts aimed at strengthening human resources for health systems. SHARE India as one of the consortium partners provides technical assistance on strengthening the selected state nursing councils in capacity building of the council and developing 5-year strategic plan and annual action plan. SHARE is looking for a suitable candidate to work as a Program Manager for this project. 

Position : Project Manager

The Project Manager is the senior most member of the SHARE SNEH project. S/He will have the overall responsibility for smooth and timely implementation of all activities under the project. 

S/He will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and quality assurance for all project activities and will be the focal point person for communication with FHI, SACS, Nursing Councils and other stakeholders.

S/He will supervise the project staff and ensure they are fully informed of the project implementation, achievements and bottlenecks. 

Essential Job Functions: Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide management support and leadership to the project.
• Ensure planning for the project’s progress in a steady and coordinated manner, and consult other SNEH partners as and when needed.
• Represent the project as the focal communication point for FHI 360, SACS, Nursing Councils and other stakeholders.
• Oversee project technical and strategic planning and ensure timely preparation of Annual Action plans.
• Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual programmatic and financial reports to FHI and keep collaborating institutions such as SACS, Nursing Councils and other stakeholders informed of progress and challenges. 
• Stay informed of developments in capacity building of nurses in HIV and AIDS treatment, care and support, best practices, and lessons learned in the international health community.
• Design and conduct capacity building of nurses on HIV/AIDS and other important public health issues like Tuberculosis and non-communicable diseases

Desired qualifications, skills and competencies: 

• Medical doctor with a post graduate degree in Public Health and allied subjects or Nurse with Public Health Management from a reputed institute
• Experience of working on HIV/AIDS and other important public health issues like Tuberculosis and non-communicable diseases
• Five years of experience in managing large scale public health programs, of which a minimum of 3 years should be at a senior level 
• Proven leadership and management skills 
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) 
• Demonstrated experience in managing monitoring systems, research / operations research activities, producing good quality reports, capacity building and institutional strengthening
• Good understanding of budgeting and financial systems management 
• Excellent computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office 
• Experience of working with the Government health system at the State and National level

The position requires travel within the country. The position is open for self-motivated, hard-working, energetic and creative individuals keen to work in public health settings. Applicants should have the ability to work in teams and for long hours.
